New York, 1969

The beautiful soft fabric is installed over the soundproof insulation. Window are now put back in. Blinds are installed. Note the license plate. I had found this plate in my travels. My Airstream was originally purchased in New York State in 1969. I asked Craig to figure out a place of honour for this 1969 […]

Conference Room

Curtains installed. Banquette seating is taking shape. This is the area where Producer Debbie and I will have meetings and listen to playbacks.

Curtains

Interior curtains are being made for front window.

Soundproofing

One of the most important steps. The soundproof insulation is going in to the interior. Not only will it keep the Airstream warm, but it will keep exterior sounds out.

Furniture Time

Exciting. Craig is starting to build the interior furniture. This will be the main cabinet.

Mapping Out The Interior

Now the fun part. Craig is starting to map out the interior furniture he will be making. Figuring out where everything goes. Dimensions. You can see some lighting and electrical wiring is also being planned.

Surprise!

A hidden bonus: When Craig took the old belly pan off, the stairs popped open. Last owner must have chose to fold stairs up and put the belly pan over them. This is such great news! I was hoping they were still there.

Belly Metal

New belly metal is installed and four leveling jacks installed. Now, when I park, I lower these four jacks and adjust them so that the trailer won’t rock when we walk around inside.

Riveting

New panel installed with rivets.
